Finding a Job in Quebec: Our Employment Support Services
The curriculum vitae (CV) is an essential tool that allows employers to learn about your work experience, education, and skills.
A CV written for another country does not always meet the expectations of Quebec employers. Having a Quebec-style CV is an essential step in maximizing your chances of obtaining an interview.
Our employment counsellors can help you create or revise your CV so that it accurately reflects your experience.
The CACI offers job search workshops to facilitate professional integration. Our employment counsellors will guide you as you develop your professional project. The workshops are intended for all immigrants who wish to learn internship or job search techniques.
The job search period is stressful and full of challenges that can have a negative impact on one’s self-esteem, such as receiving frequent negative answers. Immigrants often find themselves alone facing a job market that is increasingly demanding and competitive.
A dedicated counsellor will be assigned to you and will support you throughout your job search journey.
Networking opportunities are important for finding work!
Several activities are designed for job seekers and aim to give them the opportunity to build a network and meet potential employers. These networking activities (business lunches or dinners, etc.) provide an opportunity for job seekers to build a network with peers or professionals. They are also occasions to enjoy a friendly company.
Collective information sessions offer you the opportunity to obtain general information on the job market, training opportunities and various administrative procedures related to the job search. Our employment counselors are available during these sessions to answer your questions.
