It also serves as formal recognition of your participation and progress in a government-funded French-language training program.

It depends on your situation. Full-time courses are designed for eligible immigrants who want to learn French through an intensive program.

• Full-time: 25 to 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday, daytime)
• Part-time: 6, 9, or 12 hours per week (offered during the day, in the evening, or on weekends).

You can register at any time. There are four sessions per year (spring, summer, fall, and winter). Registration and access to courses are subject to certain administrative requirements and group availability.

Registration for French-language courses is done exclusively through the official Francisation Québec platform. Our francization advisors will inform you about upcoming cohorts and the steps to follow. They will guide you through the registration process and advise you on any required documents, if applicable.

Placement test: Before starting classes, you will complete an assessment to determine the appropriate course level and format for you (full-time, part-time, online, or workplace-based training).

Summative assessments: At the end of each course module, you will take ministry examinations. These assessments measure your skills in listening comprehension, speaking, reading comprehension, and writing.

A MIFI attestation of participation or successful completion is an official document issued by the Government of Quebec to learners who complete French courses offered through its francization programs. It confirms your participation in, or successful completion of, government-funded French-language training.
